OK big, I had this written up at 4:30 AM, but managed to erase it.
Goto: Start>Control Panal>Network and internet connections>Network connections.

There should be a Wireless connections there. See if is connected. It'll say so. you should be fine if it is. if it says disconnected Right click on it and hit Repair. See if that works. If not you may need to set up a wireless connection. Goto previous page and hit setup wireless connection. You may have to get some info from your dad. If you don't want to do that go to the help page of the maker of the wireless router and look in their help section. They usually want to charge you for calls. You may want to try your ISP also if they're not in India and get technical service(it should be free). My ISP has solved problems even the folks at MAC couldn't fix.

OK, you're going to have to set up a wireless network. You should have one up that says disabled. Right click on that and hit enable. If that doesn't work you have to set up a new network with the wireless setup wizard. You may need some info from your dad for the security password. You are wireless and not hardwired right? The first thing to do though is shut down the broadband modem and the wireless modem wait one minute then power them up again. Usually works.
